After the Cascade, twenty-four factions carved up the globe. Each territory is one faction's land and one team's home: its GM claims it and chooses a city in it, real or newly built.
Major strikeStrikeAt sea Borders are a proposal (D03); strike positions are schematic (D01). The Hall of Banners
One territory per faction and one team per territory. Twenty-four is agreed; where the borders run is a proposal, drawn over the old nations' outlines. A GM who claims a territory names the faction, chooses its banner and builds the team in a city of their choice, an old one that survived or a new one raised since. Every territory starts with the same land; after that the standings redraw the borders at the end of every season.

A hundred asteroid strikes fell across the globe, on every continent and in every ocean. The number is agreed; where each one fell, the date and the physical effects are still open (D01, D02). The map marks the major strikes the story names and scatters the rest.
96 more strikes, on land and at sea.
Out of the recovery, one thing came to belong to everyone: football. It is agreed as the globe's main unifying game, played by every faction and followed in every territory.
The Global Frontier League is its summit. Each faction fields one team, and no prize on Earth carries more prestige than the league's championship.
Story alone never removes players, changes finances or alters the rules: any effect on play is agreed before a season begins.
